WiFi and Cellular antennas l ook very similar but connect to different ports on your Pepwave mobile router. Before you begin, separate your antennas into groups based on the length and appearance. Look at the center pin of each antenna. You'll notice that certain antennas have a center pin and others do not. The antennas with center pins are "cellular" antennas.

The antenna s missing the center pin is your "WiFi" Antenna s. The GPS antenna can be installed and placed near a window, it does not need to be mounted outside the vehicle in most cases to function.

Now that your antennas and sim card s are installed it is time to power up your modem. We recommend using the included AC adapter for initial setup and testing.

You can hardwire the unit to 12v power later once you have confirmed the initial setup and testing. This also makes returns much easier should you run into an issue and need to send something back to us. Wiring your unit directly to your house or chassis batteries is possible and supported with most Peplink Devices. This is covered in our summary installation videos above however DC Wiring Diagrams are also available below for your convenience.

While your Pepwave mobile router does not require a cellular data plan to function, its functionality is greatly improved when you add a cellular data plan. Cellular data plans from just about any carrier are compatible but you must select a "data only" cellular plan designed for use in a data-only device commonly referred to as a MiFi. To add a data-only plan visit your cellular carrier and request a data-only plan be added to your existing or new cellular account.

Remember that data plans that are advertised as "unlimited" are not actually unlimited so plan accordingly and keep an eye on your usage using the Pepwave administration panel under the Status Tab.

If you have purchased a data plan through MobileMustHave Wireless then your activation instructions were emailed to you at the time of shipment. For plan information follow the quick start guide for reseller plans available here. If you have purchased a data plan through MMH's Data referral plans these are the only referral plans available for purchase on our store then the activation process is different as you are renting your plan from a 3rd party reseller we have introduced you to.

For reseller plan information follow the quick start guide for reseller plans available here. Next, it's time to install your SIM Card s.

Your new Pepwave accepts full-size sim cards also called 2FF sims. It is extremely important that you do not install a micro or nano sim in your Pepwave device without an adapter.

If you are removing a sim from a MIFI hotspot device a sim adapter may be used to increase the size of the sim. These are available for purchase here on our website. Nano and micro sims will not fit and get lost in the device which will require the unit to be sent in for repair. These issues are not covered by warranty and are fee-based repairs so take your time and make sure to install the correct size sim cards. Install sim card following the instructional video below.
